This is the first AMVOX to feature both a worldtimer and chronograph. Since the concept was introduced in 2006, Jaeger-LeCoultre has introduced numerous AMVOX models from 2007 until now. The first production AMVOX watches, introduced in 2007, allowed the wearer to activate the chronograph a patented vertical trigger which is activated by applying pressure to the sapphire crystal, after unlocking the crystal. Then in 2008, they replica IWC 3717-02 watch added a micro transmitter to the inner case band of the AMVOX2 Transponder allowing the wearer to lock and unlock their Aston Martin pressure to the crystal (video example). They even made a GMT Tourbillon version of the AMVOX.Instead of using the sapphire crystal activated chronograph, the AMVOX5 was designed with standard chronograph pushers.
This saves you from having to unlock the crystal and press your fingers on the sapphire (and saves you from having to always clean off fingerprints). In reality, this configuration is much more convenient, even if the touch crystal is technologically more advanced. The other major function of this watch, is a worldtimer, controlled the 10 o'clock replica IWC 3715-23 watch crown, which rotates the cities on the internal bezel. London was replaced on the bezel with, Gaydon, which is where the Aston Martin headquarters are located. The second crown allows you to instantly access the time in any of the 24 cities, which are displayed on the world time bezel.The strap is made of perforated black calfskin, with orange stitching to match the orange chronograph seconds hand. The inside of the strap is even lined with alcantara (a material often used in high-end sports oriented cars).
Powering the AMVOX 5 is an in-house JL 752, which is a modified version of the JL 751 (they added a world time function) which has been used in previous models. It operates at 28,800 vph and has an impressive 65 hour power reserve. The caseback is hard, so you cannot see into the movement without taking off the caseback. However, replica IWC 3770-13 watch inside is just as impressive as the outside. A 22K gold weight oscillates on lubricant free ceramic ball bearings, which winds the movement. The chronograph is not a standard cam and lever configuration, instead it is a more robust vertical trigger system with column-wheel.
